Great story from a fiction writer about how he used Web 2.0 tools to get his book published*.
Where there's a will ... right!?
*Hat tip to the IWOSC newsletter, which reprinted the article from earlier this year.

This appeals to me more than trying to peddle self-published books, but I can't explain why. I suppose either is viable, or not. It's going to depend on the book itself, and the podcast will also depend on the reader.
ReplyDeleteI think it's about building an audience and then using that to get a publisher to take a chance on the book. Maybe the podcast - or blog - is a way to test the waters, kind of a "proof of concept"?
ReplyDeleteThat makes it more appealing to me, overall, than self-publishing.
Something like that. My wheels are turning.
